"The Foundation helped me experience what 'paying it forward' really means."
Stacy’s dream was to become the first woman in her family to earn a college degree. Thanks to the freedom that Foundation scholarships gave her, she surpassed that goal — graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s Degree. Stacy’s degree is invaluable to her, and in the process of earning it, she also had the opportunity to help others:
"I learned that education gained in the classroom is very important and fundamental to a successful career; however, it is just as important to enrich the lives of others. I was so fortunate to receive a large amount of my college funding from the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, and therefore was able to devote my time volunteering for organizations on campus and in the community.
Through events like March of Dimes and peer tutoring, I could share my skills to impact the lives of others. The Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation helped me experience what paying it forward really means.
I cannot express enough appreciation to the Foundation donors for their contributions."
