On her experience at the National LeaderShape Workshop

"At the start of LeaderShape I would not have called myself a leader. I went into the workshop hoping to build my confidence and develop what I thought were the necessary and fundamental leadership skills. My expectations were certainly surpassed!  

I thought that LeaderShape would 'label' me and teach me a specific set of skills. Instead, it empowered me to mold myself into the leader that I envisioned I could be. The focus of LeaderShape is ‘Leading with Integrity’.  This has become my motto for how I approach leadership roles and even my everyday actions.  

I returned home to Vancouver motivated to take on larger leadership roles. Without my LeaderShape experience, I would not have believed in myself enough to become a Teaching Assistant or to take on the role of President of my Theta chapter.

Thank you, Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation!  It is truly amazing that you are able to provide so many young women with this remarkable chance to develop into self-assured leaders."
