New Foundation Giving Societies!
May 04, 2009

We here at the Foundation realize that we truly cannot help give every Theta every opportunity to make a difference without the support of our generous donors. As a part of our efforts to show appreciation for your support, we've updated our giving societies and added a few new ones! These took effect on January 1, 2009. Take a look...

Founders Society

Named in honor of Theta’s Founders, this society recognizes those individuals whose contributions have laid a strong foundation for our programs, just as our founders did for Theta all those years ago. Founders Society members gave between $250 and $999 during the previous calendar year.

Presidents’ Circle

The presidents of the Fraternity and Foundation work together to help ensure the brightest future for Kappa Alpha Theta. The Presidents’ Circle recognizes those individuals who have also demonstrated leadership and commitment to this vision through donations of $1000 or more to the Foundation during the previous calendar year.

Tunnicliffe Tribute Society

Evelyn Tunnicliffe, Eta/Michigan, was the founder and first president of the Foundation. The loyalty of individual donors who have given consistently throughout the years has been important to the Foundation’s early and continued success. These individuals are honored through the Tunnicliffe Tribute Society, which recognizes 25 plus years of giving to the Foundation. Contributions need not be consecutive for membership in the society.

Gerlach and Stockwell Society

The Gerlach and Stockwell families’ generosity totaled over $5 million in unrestricted gifts to the Foundation; the largest gifts received by the Foundation to date. The Gerlach and Stockwell Society recognizes those individuals who have made a lifetime contribution to the Foundation of $25,000 or more. These donors have made commitments to the Foundation that are transformational.

Lambert Legacy Society

After Betty Baur Lambert and her husband James passed away, their thoughtfulness to place the Theta Foundation in their will amounted to a record gift of $1.6 million – the largest gift ever received by the Foundation to that date and the first to exceed a million dollars. Lambert Legacy Society members include all individuals and couples who have included a gift of personal assets to the Foundation through their estate plans.
