The Foundation's Grant Program is fairly new, founded in 1994 when the Indianapolis alumnae chapter inquired about a way to give to the Foundation over an extended period of time. To date the Foundation manages 11 Named Grant Funds. Each grant has different restrictions for which the funds may be used:

  • Leadership training and development programs, used toward advancement of personal development and leadership skills
  • Educational programs, used to obtain additional knowledge and skills for a particular purpose

Approximately $40,000 is awarded annually through the grant program but the need is greater.

  • An individual donor, family, or chapter can establish a trust with a gift of $25,000 payable over a five-year period.
  • The principal of the trust is invested and annual interest is allocated for specific educational or philanthropic programs as designated by the donor(s) and the Board of Trustees
