Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation’s giving societies have helped foster a tradition of philanthropy and recognize our most loyal supporters.
Soaring Kite Society
Theta Foundation’s newest giving society, the Soaring Kite Society, is an opportunity for Theta’s young alumnae (members who have graduated in the last decade) to make a small, but meaningful, gift. By giving just $4 per month (or $48 per year), Theta’s young alumnae will provide Thetas of all ages with opportunities to grow as leading women. Members who join this society will receive a Soaring Kite Society button. Learn more in our announcement news story.
Like the four women whose energy and commitment established the Fraternity in 1870, Founders Society members provide the foundation for continued strength and growth. In order to provide additional opportunities to recognize our donors, we are more clearly defining donors’ generous contributions at the gold and silver levels:
Founders Society – Silver: Recognizes Thetas, parents, and friends who give between $250 and $499 annually.
Founders Society – Gold: Recognizes Thetas, parents, and friends who give between $500 and $999 annually.
This society honors Fraternity and Foundation Presidents – present and past – and the commitment of individuals whose generous support enables Kappa Alpha Theta to remain steadfast in moving our vision forward. Like the Founders Society, we are more clearly defining donors’ generous contributions at the gold and silver levels to provide additional opportunities to recognize them:
Presidents Circle – Silver: Recognizes Thetas, parents, and friends who give between $1,000 and $2,499 annually.
Presidents Circle – Gold: Recognizes Thetas, parents, and friends who give an annual gift of $2,500 or more.
Tunnicliffe Tribute Society
Named in honor of Theta Foundation’s first president, Evelyn Widman Tunnicliffe (Eta/Michigan), the Tunnicliffe Tribute Society is a cumulative giving society for donors who have given to Theta Foundation 25 years or more.
Gerlach and Stockwell Society
In honor of the families of J.G. and Marsena Nelson Gerlach (Beta Omicron/Iowa) and Winifred Tuttle Stockwell (Chi/Syracuse), the Gerlach and Stockwell Society is a cumulative giving society that acknowledges donors who have given $25,000 or more to Theta Foundation in their lifetime.
Lambert Legacy Society
In honor of the generosity of James and Betty Baur Lambert (Alpha Chi/Purdue), the Lambert Legacy Society acknowledges all individuals or couples who have planned a gift of personal assets to Theta Foundation in their estate plans.
