Unrestricted gifts from individual members, alumnae and college chapters as well as friends of Theta allow the Foundation to underwrite the Fraternity's educational and leadership programs, fulfilling the Foundations mission to strengthen and empower members through philanthropy and education. The Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation financially supports the following Fraternity programs through the annual grant.

Kappa Alpha Theta was the first women's fraternity to endorse and require that all members complete AlcoholEdu, an interactive online educational program provided in partnership with Outside the Classroom. AlcoholEdu is a science-based course that that educates students about alcohol and its effects on the mind and body.

Archivist and archival supplies
Kappa Alpha Theta is privileged to have extensive and well maintained archives. The Fraternity's archives not only provide a valuable history of Kappa Alpha Theta but also of the early years and development of the Greek Community.

Educational training at District Leadership Conferences
Growth, leadership, development, and inspiration are the goals of Theta's District Leadership Conferences (DLCs). These weekend-long conferences are held annually at nine locations across the United States for college chapter officers and advisors. Speakers and workshops hone the leadership skills of chapter officers and advisors.

Educational speaker for Officers Conference
Officers Conference is hosted once a biennium for the Fraternity's international officers and provides valuable resources that can be utilized in their volunteer roles.

Educational Leadership Consultant (ELC) program

Educational leadership consultants are recent college graduates who serve in a very visible role for the Fraternity. They are role models for Kappa Alpha Theta's college chapters and alumnae volunteers. As full-time staff members they are required to have a thorough knowledge of Fraternity laws and procedures, must enthusiastically support Theta's ideals and foster the Fraternity's goals and objectives.

Facility Corporation Educational Training
Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity hosts a conference for facility corporation boards. The conference provides valuable information related to student housing issues and trends.

Something of Value
Something of Value is a values-based approach to risk management education for collegians. This National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) day-long program is led by a traveling team of NPC representatives and an attorney with NPC affiliation. The program includes, a mock trial, techniques related to confrontation and a values based approach to risk management. Participants develop action plans and are empowered to follow-through.

Risk Management on the Road
For over 10 years Kappa Alpha Theta has provided outstanding training to consultants of fraternal organizations. By partnering with MJ Insurance the program has been enhanced, preparing consultants of NPC organizations to provide professional assistance to college chapters.
