Grants are available from restricted funds in the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation to individual members, college chapters and alumnae chapters in good standing with the Fraternity. Grants are available for leadership training and development or non-degree educational courses as described below.

Leadership Training and Development:

  • Used toward advancement of personal development and leadership skills
  • Programming should provide tools to achieve new insights, build effective teams, or enhance society in a wider influence for good
  • Examples:
    • conflict management
    • goal or priority setting
    • group dynamics
    • ethical decision-making
    • vision setting
    • diversity training

Education:

  • Used to obtain additional knowledge and skills for a particular purpose
  • Programs of instruction should be of a specific nature or level which would enlighten, guide, train, or develop the applicant in a broader manner
  • Examples:
    • Certification
    • job advancement
    • life-long learning opportunities
